Andrés Iniesta turned down Barcelona’s first contract renewal offer, according to the sports programme ‘La Gradería’ on Spanish radio station Cadena SER. The decision was announced on Thursday afternoon. Cadena SER made it clear that Iniesta does not mind whether he is the second, third or fifth best paid player in the Barça squad, but the offer is still a long way from his parameters. Iniesta thanked the club as both parties will take time to consider the situation.
