Yvonne Nelson Reveals John Dumelo’s Secret

Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has ‘regrettably’ disclosed in an interview that her colleague actor John Dumelo has a girlfriend in London.

She spilled the beans during a recent interview with Toolz on The Juice on Ndani TV. Yvonne was trying to defend a point she made that she had done nothing with anyone for the past 7 months (after breaking up with Nigerian musician Iyanya).

While doing so, she remembered she had kissed John Dumelo in a movie recently.

“It’s been seven months…i’m like a secondary virgin right now…yeah. I haven’t seen anyone…done nothing! I haven’t even kissed….oh yeah i kissed John Dumelo in a movie..that’s like my last kiss,” Yvonne said.

Toolz further inquired what is going on between the Yvonne and John, since they seem comfortable together and everybody thinks they are having a secret relationship. Yvonne denied it, saying “John is like my brother…he’s a Fanti guy..”

Then she got serious and dropped the bombshell. “John has a girlfriend.”

The following was the dialogue between the two:

Toolz: Oooh….has told everybody that?

Yvonne: John has a girlfriend..John has a girlfriend….in London i guess. He’s going to kill me! (laughter)

Toolz: Well, if you’re John Dumelo’s girlfriend..and you’re not in London…

Yvonne: I know…oh my God! John is going to kill me! But i said it…John has a girlfriend.
Toolz:This is interesting…i’m just like…ooooh…ok!

Yvonne Nelson clearly regretted letting the cat out of the bag, but can you blame her?

Earlier in the interview, Toolz wanted to know Yvonne’s side of the Iyanya story. Yvonne confirmed that Iyanya wanted to use her and dump her because all along, he knew what he wanted and was doing.

“So..Iyanya was very special..and we had a thing. Ummm…but i guess it was it was all a joke, you know…he had it all planned out..he knew what he was looking for and i guess he had it or he got it.”

According to the actress, Iyanya had a lot of girls on his table, and it just did not work. She further said she kept hearing things about him, and even though she feels it’s quite disrespectful talking about it like that, it really did happen to her. Iyanya, according to Yvonne, also told many lies…”it was just too much,” she added.

Yvonne also disclosed that the relationship actually ended on her birthday last year. She said the reason for their breakup goes beyond Tonto Dikeh.

“I thought it ended because of her, but there were so many other things going on. I’ll give you a scenario…I was in town (Nigeria) for his birthday..and guess what, there were other girls there as well…you know…like some from South Africa, some from…wherever…” She said they were not just friends…but he was in a relationship with them. So even though she knew she was at his birthday party chilling and having fun, there were “other people” there.

Yvonne attributed the whole situation to the industry they are in. She said celebrity couples usually use their ‘celebrity’ status to cheat on their partners. According to her, nobody wants to come out to confirm their relationship because “they have other agendas..they have other stuff with other people, so they can’t come out to make you exclusive, because they are lying to everybody.”

She advised that if celebrities should be able to come out to tell who they are dating once they love each other.

She also denied being a relationship with Ice Prince and Dammy Krane. When pushed to the wall about Ice Prince, she said “Are you serious? I’m not even going to date anyone now after all that i’ve been through.”
